Bannon to Trump after Strange’s defeat: Don’t get on the wrong side of the people – By Kathryn Watson (cbsnews.com) / Sept 27 2017

Former chief Trump strategist Steve Bannon on Sirius XM’s “Breitbart News Daily” Wednesday said the people are 6-0, and President Trump is 5-1, after Mr. Trump’s pick in the Alabama’s U.S. Senate primary lost to Bannon’s candidate, conservative former judge Roy Moore.

“We’re 6-0 in these elections,” Bannon told the show’s host, Raheem Kassam, without listing the other elections. “President Trump is 5-1.”

“Oops! Did I say that? 5-1,” said Bannon, who returned to Breitbart after leaving the White House in August.

Mr. Trump’s selection of Strange over Moore divided the president’s base. In addition to Bannon, the likes of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ban Carson supported Moore. After Strange’s defeat, some of the president’s tweets in support of Strange — there were several — disappeared.

“By the way, victory begets victory, as we always say at Breitbart, so another big victory for this audience,” Bannon said on the Sirius XM show. “What, we’re 6-0? We’re 6-0 – since we won in November – I think we’re 6-0 in these elections. President Trump is 5-1. Oops! Did I say that? He’s 5-1.”

Bannon warned Mr. Trump, “Do not get on the wrong side of the football of your base. Listen to the people, please,” Bannon said. “I know all the troublemakers at Politico and Axios are going to be tweeting that out so the president sees it.”

Bannon reiterated, “The people are 6-0. Listen to it.”

Bannon, the combative figure who helped propel Mr. Trump to the presidency, has said he plans to fight for the president and his agenda now that he is back at Breitbart, where he worked as Breitbart’s executive chairman before joining the Trump campaign.

Breitbart attacked Strange during the campaign in numerous articles, calling him a “swamp creature” — the kind of “swamp creature” Breitbart hoped Mr. Trump would kick out of Washington.

PB/TK – Oh look a pissing match. POTUS Donnie won’t argue with Bannon, he needs Bannon and Breitbart as they were the first Conservative/Right Media group to jump abroad the train and rarely, to the miniscule of percentage points, report anything negative about POTUS Donnie. It’s always sunshine and unicorns.
