The San Francisco Planning Commission unanimously approved plans on Thursday for a multimillion-dollar expansion at a well-known college prep school.
St. Ignatius College Preparatory School, located in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood, initially filed plans for the expansion, which it dubbed the “New Learning Commons” and describes as “the most ambitious project” in its history, in late 2022.
The commission’s approval documents will be finalized within two weeks, Dan Sider, chief of staff for the planning commission, told SFGATE. After leaving 30 days for an appeal, the commission will approve the project’s building permit, he said.
