Convicted child sex offender voted illegally at least 18 times: Police – By Brandi Buchman (Law & Crime) / May 13, 2024
Amilcar De Jesus Noguera, 72, of Florida has been charged with two felonies after police say he voted illegally for decades after he was convicted of a child sex crime in the 1980s.
The 72-year-old’s arrest was first reported Monday by ABC affiliate WPLG.
Police have accused the Davie, Florida, resident of voting illegally in elections for years starting in the early 1990s. Noguera was convicted of sexual activity with a child in December 1989 and public records show he is still on the state’s sex offender registry list.
Authorities say Noguera was given a decade of probation after his conviction.
