Is it a Health Crisis or a Health Crisis turned into a Financial Crisis?

Everyone should be able to agree that the current situation is indeed a Health Crisis turned Financial Crisis over the past few weeks contrary to what POTUS Donnie insists, because all the school/non-essential business closures and all outdoor life ends when the street lights come on mentality sure does lead to that conclusion.

And if it weren’t now a Financial Crisis, then why are three pieces of legislation totaling over $2.3 billion passed in four weeks with a possible 4th being guesstimated around $2.5 trillion already in motion.

Oh yeah, that 4th notion is an Infrastructure deal, nothing to do with Health but bridges and roads, ya know “shovel ready” stuff.

Hey wait, we’ve heard that term before and the need for it in the past but that was something like $800 billion, obviously with $2.5 trillion more will get done or at least more special interests will get paid.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve stated many times that Obama’s “Shovel Ready” stimulus was a good idea but horribly managed and this current notion seems to be following that path as well. Just remember all of POTUS Barry’s detractors claimed the US couldn’t afford his plan and the time-honored response of “we’ll print more money” wasn’t an answer, but low and behold POTUS Donnie regurgitates the “we’ll print more money” and happily adds “because it’s a great time to borrow money at zero percent interests” to the applause of many.

Um, I ain’t a smart man there bub, but borrowing close to $2.5 trillion at zero percent interest still means ya gotta pay back $2.5 trillion whether it be tomorrow or years down the road, it’ll need paid.

Yeppers, POTUS Donnie is waist deep in the “swamp” and he’s sinking himself, only many aren’t believing it.

But let’s get back to DC’s 4 Phases of a Financial Crisis and trust me it ain’t anything like Disney’s 4 Phases of the Marvel Universe although we probably use some Tony Stark intuition right about now

Let’s step back and remember:

Phase I – March 6 2020 POTUS Donnie signed $8.3 billion coronavirus bill to help fund development of vaccines and testing plus give money to the federal and state governments.

Phase II – March 18 2020 POTUS Donnie signs another coronavirus bill estimated at $100 billion, it’s best known as “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” which went towards sick leave, unemployment compensation and free testing

Phase III – (Oh my god this really is starting to sound more like Disney’s plans for more Marvel movies). This nugget was signed on March 26 2020 and this is the one everyone’s paying attention too because of the amount of it’s worth and the amount taxpaying citizens and business are gonna receive.

One thing that’s funny about Phase III was no one had a chance to totally read the final version. What’s that old Obamacare tag line “…we have to pass the [health care] bill so that you can find out what’s in it….”

This is Congress, there’s gotta be lots of Pork or some sort of outrageous special interest in the Phase III. And of course there is because I saw many of you crowing on Social Media about the Kennedy Center getting some cash that could’ve gone elsewhere

So according to Forbes and a few other publications, a comparison between the Senate and House versions list:

  • $25 million in the Senate bill went to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. During the past ten years, the center received $68.3 million in federal grants (2010-2019). The Kennedy Center has total assets of $557 million. The Pelosi bill earmarked $35 million.
  • $75 million in the Senate bill funded the Corporation For Public Broadcasting. Why do National Public Radio and Big Bird get a coronavirus subsidy? The Pelosi bill allocated $300 million.
  • $1.2 billion in the Pelosi bill to require airlines to purchase expensive “renewable” jet fuel. It was $200 million per year in grants (2021-2026) to “develop, transport, and store sustainable aviation fuels that would reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions.” The Senate bill eliminated this provision.
  • $88 million to the Peace Corps for “evacuating volunteers and U.S. direct hires from overseas.” The agency just fired all of their 7,300 volunteers working in 61 countries on March 15. The Pelosi bill allocated $90 million
  • $30.8 billion to the Department of Education for “state Fiscal Stabilization Fund” that provides grants to support elementary and secondary education ($13.5 billion), Higher Ed ($14.25 billion), and State flexibility grants ($3 billion). The Pelosi bill asked for $50 billion.
  • $250 million to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The subsidy would cover “taxpayer services,” “enforcement,” and “operations support.” The Pelosi bill provided $602 million.

Even as outrageous as the differences are, it was negotiated and gloriously passed by Congress. Hey even Leader Mitch got his own provision for L’Oreal sunscreen in the bill, so stop bitching about Big Bird getting some cash

No you cannot blame one side over the other as both Parties are too blame for any and all Financial scars we are about to wear.

But what is Phase IV; does POTUS get a cape, does POTUS get revenge, does POTUS become a Emperor?

He does realize that calling himself a “wartime president” doesn’t actually mean he is, right?

Nah, Phase IV is gonna be a couple trillion dollar infrastructure plan that has nothing to do with coronavirus, but everything to do with jobs. Think of it as Obama Stimulus 2.0 or in other words it’s being tagged as everything Obama’s shovel ready was to be but never hit the mark.

Hey that shovel ready bill cost us nearly $800 billion and a few miles worth of repaved roads and duct tape on some bridges. OK some things did get down on what was a good idea/poorly executed plan and I have a feeling, Phase IV might end up the same

People, media and their commentating brethren are gonna re-write the timeline of the Coronavirus and it’s impact on the US. Yes, our government failed the first weeks when cases began to happen, slow moving as always. Yes, POTUS Donnie called it a “DEM Hoax” at campaign rallies to the roar of cheering supporters in the beginning.

Per his own words at a campaign rally on February in Charleston, SC:
“One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.’ That did not work out too well.” Trump told the crowd. “They could not do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. … They tried anything. … And this is their new hoax.”

Does he need to slap a national lockdown across the country? In my opinion, he doesn’t, we do not need Marshall Law, but it only proves how ignorant of a society that we’ve become.

Just stop with the “What would Obama/Biden/Hillary” have done scenarios as well. Hillary or any Clinton will always be the GOP’ers boogey-man, but give some credit to the Clinton’s for sending food to Healthcare workers working in NYC. I’m pretty sure if POTUS Donnie opened one of his many hotels to Healthcare workers in “Anywhere, US” DEM’ers would cry foul with rants about how he’s gonna just charge the government some outrageous fee for doing so.

Just stop with the Stimulus banter between Left and Right talking heads, people are gonna accept money from the government regardless of who’s in the Oval Office

Any sitting POTUS could not/would not win the battle of Media, especially since the majority of the public receives their information from partisan talking heads.

I understand what POTUS Donnie is trying to do, he’s trying to sell calm to the public but he needs to let the experts take control of these daily briefings and not boast about how he’s getting incredible tv ratings. We get it, you’re an egomaniac who constantly needs to be adored and applauded, and for all the whining about DEM’ers playing partisan games he’s doing it more.

That’s it, slap the tap, pass the government cheese and pay your political tab

CHEERS!
