Nearly all of the protesters arrested Saturday after clashes with law enforcement have been released from the Leon County Detention Facility, most after posting bond.
Fifteen people were arrested Saturday during demonstrations at the Capitol. It was the first time the capital city saw multiple arrests after days of largely peaceful Black Lives Matter protests as far back as May.
The protests followed Friday’s decision by a Leon County grand jury to clear Tallahassee Police Department officers in three fatal shootings of suspects over the past year. The grand jury found that the officers were justified in their use of deadly force.
