Manchester man charged with pointing gun at homeless people, impersonating police – By Mark Hayward (New Hampshire Union Leader) / Sept 29 2020
MANCHESTER — A Carisbrooke apartments resident fed up with homeless people camping in his Manchester neighborhood was charged with impersonating a police officer after pointing a handgun and trying to roust two men from nearby Wolfe Park, police said.
Geoff Brown, 32, who lives at 180 Woodbury Ave, Apt. 320, also was charged with felony criminal threatening and misdemeanor criminal mischief for smashing the computer screen of one of two men he confronted late Monday night.
In court papers, police said Brown approached two homeless people while dressed in a black tactical vest, a black American flag hat, a black face mask covering and a waist belt with empty pouches and a holstered firearm.
His dog, which also had a tactical vest, barked at the two men while Brown identified himself as a police officer and ordered them to leave, according to an affidavit. When the men asked to see his badge, Brown said he was not required to provide it.
