North Korea threatens Guam after Trump remarks

North Korea is raising the possibility of missile strikes on Guam just a few hours after President Trump vowed “fire, fury and frankly power” against Pyongyang should it threaten the United States.

A military spokesman said the country would strike the American territory should the United States provoke North Korea,  Reuters reports, citing the country’s state media.

Trump earlier Tuesday warned Pyongyang not to make “any more threats” against the U.S.

“He has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before,” Trump said at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J.North Korea has in the past threatened the United States in bombastic terms. It once vowed to turn its neighbor, South Korea, into “a sea of fire.”
