Democrat Governor Being Sued In Sexual Harassment Case – By Nick Arama (youngcons.com) / Nov 19 2017

As Americans have seen with the recent explosion of sexual assault and harassment claims, what has kept this under wraps for so long is the failure of people who knew what was going on to keep quiet and not tell, because of the power or influence of the accused involved.

There are a lot of enablers in cases of long-hidden sexual abuse.

Case in point in breaking news today.

A woman is alleging that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is one of those enablers in power who turned a blind eye to sexual abuse against one of his appointees, Sam Hoyt, a top economic development aide for the governor.

From Biz Pac Review:
Lisa Marie Cater filed a lawsuit Saturday in a Manhattan federal court, naming Cuomo and Hoyt as defendants, according to the New York Post — the Democratic governor is accused of repeatedly ignoring Hoyt’s “horrific acts.”

Cater claims Hoyt got her a job at the DMV and used this to “manipulate, sexually harass and sexually assault” her, and that she was met with “deliberate indifference” by Cuomo’s office on at least six occasions when she complained about the behavior, The Post reported.

Wait, this is confusing.

Don’t Democrats feel that ‘all women must be believed?’

What’s going on here?

Cuomo’s office disputes that they ignored her complaints.
“When Ms. Cater reported a complaint regarding Mr. ‎Hoyt … it was immediately referred to the State Employee Relations Office for an investigation,” Alphonso David, Cuomo’s counsel, told the Post. “At the same time Mr. Hoyt was instructed to have no further interaction with the complainant and to cooperate fully with the investigation.”

She said she endured a lot from Hoyt including alleged sexual assault.

From NY Post:

The “barrage” of unwanted kisses, crotch-grabbing, stalking, and daily calls, emails and sexts continued for a year, until Cater found herself on “the brink of a nervous breakdown,” according to court papers.

And what was very problematic was that he had gotten her the job she held, so she felt he was holding it over her head.
Cater said that she finally agreed to a $50,000 settlement after an investigation into the long-term harassment and Hoyt finally resigned in 2017.

But said she broke the agreement when she saw Cuomo officials publicly praising Hoyt, despite knowing what he did.

And that wasn’t Hoyt’s first brush with scandal. He had also had an affair with a 23-year-old student intern before he got the appointment from Cuomo, who didn’t let that dissuade him.

Said Cater’s attorney, Liggieri: “Sam Hoyt was a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing. The state should have known he was a wolf all along.”

“If I didn’t speak up and say something, nobody would have known anything,” Cater said. “Honestly and truly, this could be a ‘Lifetime’ movie. It’s that twisted. “

“You would think that a governor who prides himself on promoting women’s equality and rights would have responded immediately to the many cries for help,” Liggieri said.

One thing is pretty clear.

Cuomo didn’t can him immediately, Hoyt didn’t resign until much later and after many complaints. And they were trying to keep it quiet.

What happened to believe the woman?

PB/TK – Looks like I’m gonna have to watch CNN’s morning show to how Coumo’s little brother commentates about this allegation. It’s also funny reading/listening/seeing a conservative website mocking Libs for their “Believe the woman” mantra yet it’s the last thing Cons ever do in these situations, not to mention how quick they are too judge the opposition while their own dicks are swinging in the wind
