Jim DeMint has been an active conservative champion in Washington. Starting in the Senate, founding the anti-establishment Senate Conservatives Fund, and then finally leaving the Senate to head up the Heritage Foundation.
He was always too much for some, and now reports say he’s going to get fired.
Politico has it as the Board getting tired of him: Some Heritage board members believe that DeMint has brought in too many Senate allies and made the think tank too bombastic and political — to the detriment of its research and scholarly aims.
