Pelosi Lists 8 Things She’d Rather Spend Trump’s ‘Immoral’ Border Wall Funding On – By Craig Bannister (cnsnews.com) / Jan 5 2018

On Friday, House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) listed some of the things she’d do with the money President Donald Trump wants to protect America from the threats posed by illegal immigration.

On her Twitter page, Pelosi introduced her series of posts by claiming the border wall funding “could do so much more” – if it wasn’t used to secure the border:

“President Donald Trump @realDonaldTrump, that border wall funding you are asking for (again) could do so much more good in other places….”

Pelosi followed with eight separate Tweets, each touting something she’d spend the border wall funds on – ranging Puerto Rico and subsidizing high-speed internet to expanding the State Department:

  1. “Job training for workers”
  2. “Treatment for people addicted to #opioids”
  3. “Provide the VA with urgently needed resources to keep America’s promise to #veterans”
  4. “Help #PuertoRico & #USVI in ongoing effort to rebuild in the wake of massive hurricanes”
  5. “Give a helping hand to communities devastated by #wildfires”
  6. “Make a meaningful step towards saving pensions for some of the millions of Americans whose retirement savings are at risk”
  7. “Increase @StateDept funding”
  8. “Help families gain access to high-speed internet”

Pelosi closed the thread with a Tweet calling building the thought of a border wall “immoral”:

“All of these and more would do a far better job of improving the everyday lives of American families than your ineffective & immoral wall. No thanks. #NoWall”

PB/TK – All of those are great soapbox topics, but many of which are overused and crossover topics with GOP’ers, thereby becoming null & void in the minds of the political base and partisan talking heads
