Trump Preps Health Care Executive Actions This Week – By Newsmax Staff (Newsmax) / Sept 22 2020
President Donald Trump is set to announce several executive actions related to health care this week in an effort to bolster his record on the issue ahead of the Nov. 3 election, Politico reports.
One of the orders may protect pre-existing conditions in insurance plans if the Supreme Court rules against Obamacare, according multiple sources cited by Politico. Other actions would include ending “surprise” medical bills and one addressing mental health.
The announcement could come as a single package of actions or as separate orders. Trump is expected to make the announcement Thursday when he is in North Carolina for a health care-related event.
Trump has been promising a replacement for Obamacare without success.
