President Trump takes the stage in Illinois for another “Make America Great Again” rally.
In Murphysboro Saturday, the president said he would not cancel the event in the wake of Saturday’s shooting, saying he would not make the suspect relevant.
He also stumped for GOP candidates ahead of midterm elections, including Governor Bruce Rauner and Mike Bost who also took the stage during the rally.
Rauner is facing off against democrat billionaire J.B. Pritzker, in what’s expected to be the most expensive gubernatorial race in history.
President Trump also stressed how his “America first” agenda has revitalized Illinois’ steel industry.
