Secret Service Detains Woman Who Jumped White House Barricade on Pennsylvania Avenue – BY DAVID BIXENSPAN / May 16 2017
The Secret Service confirmed that there was a security incident on the White House grounds Tuesday afternoon, when a woman jumped one of the bike racks extending the secure perimeter.
Various reporters provided live play-by-play of the ensuing security lockdown via Twitter, complete with photos and videos
The northern side of the White House has had stronger security measures in place, compared to other sides of the perimeter. The southern sidewalk was closed in April, with the Secret Service issuing this statement at the time
