The Trump Organization is investigating whether some of its loan payments can be postponed during the pandemic.
President Donald Trump’s company is one of the numerous businesses seeking financial relief during the coronavirus pandemic, according to The New York Times, as his golf courses and hotels suffer under shutdown orders.
But unlike other companies seeking similar relief, the Trump Organization is tied directly to the president, potentially leading to conflicts of interest for lenders and landlords.
According to documents reviewed by The Times, along with people familiar with the matter, the Trump Organization is looking into whether some of its loan payments can be postponed — including asking its biggest lender, Deutsche Bank, for leniency.
