Called for special funding from COVID relief packages
Two Democrats in Congress who also are landlords publicly pushed for taxpayer relief during the COVID-19 pandemic for landlords.
The Free Beacon documented that Reps. Matt Cartwright and Susan Wild, both Pennsylvania Democrats “called for federal aid to assist landlords while raking in rental income.”
They did that, the report explained, “without acknowledging that they could profit from the policy.”
According to the report that cited congressional financial disclosures, the two collected up to $130,000 in combined rental income during 2020.
