Pa. Health Department orders second approval for vaporized cannabis: report – By Becky Metrick (Pennlive) / Nov 23 2021

Hundreds of thousands of medical marijuana products might be at risk after the Pennsylvania Department of Health ordered a secondary review of vaporized cannabis products last week, according to reports.

MJBizDaily.com reports that Mark O’Neil, the press secretary for the Department of Health, confirmed that the state’s Medical Marijuana office ordered a statewide review of “vaporized medical marijuana products” on Nov. 16 in an effort to ensure the permitted growers and processors of these products “are not using additives that are not safe for inhalation.”

O’Neil told the outlet that “patient safety is of utmost importance to the Medical Marijuana Office and those they serve.”

The order references all vaporized products containing “added ingredients” and says all permittees must comply by Nov. 30, O’Neil told the site.
