Japan prepares for yet another North Korean nuclear test as the regime’s Foundation Day nears.
North Korea’s recent nuclear and ballistic-missile tests have exacerbated political tensions in the region.
The rogue-regime conducted its most powerful nuclear test last weekend, saying it tested a hydrogen-bomb which it can mount on a ballistic-missile.
The Japanese military suggests Pyongyang might stage another test on its national holiday on September 9.
“North Korea has a history of repeating nuclear and missile tests on its national anniversaries,” said a Japanese Defense Minister, “Last year on September 5th, North Korea’s foundation day, there was a nuclear test for the fifth time, so we’re going to continue our surveillance of North Korea and be on alert.”
Despite increased sanctions, Pyongyang continues to stage nuclear and ballistic missile-tests in defiance of international condemnation.
On Thursday Japan’s leader met with the President of Russia to discuss the North Korean threat.
