President Trump often calls into TV shows wearing only his underwear, according to Anthony Scaramucci’s wife.
“The only thing that Anthony has ever told me that Trump does is give interviews on cable networks in his boxers,” Deidre Scaramucci told Radio.com over the weekend. “Instead of going into the studio, especially now that he’s president, he does these interviews and the little head pops up and it’s him in a dapper suit, and he’s really home, sitting in his underwear.”
Deidre Scaramucci’s comments precede her husband’s debut Monday night on CBS’ “Celebrity Big Brother.” The fired White House communications director will join Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and Dina Lohan, actress Lindsay Lohan’s mom, among others, in the house.
Deidre Scaramucci predicted he would be more entertaining than Omarosa Manigault Newman, a fellow Trump administration alum and former housemate, though cautioned he would likely “try to rein it in” to avoid ruffling “any more feathers at the White House.”
“I’m a little nervous about him being around cameras 24 hours a day because he has a tendency to say some crazy things. And he loves four-letter words,” Deidre Scaramucci told Radio.com in a series of interviews. “I’m assuming they have the edit button on red-hot for him.”
Anthony Scaramucci was dismissed from the White House in July 2017 after less than two weeks in the top communications job for having an expletive-laden conversation with a journalist. The Wall Street financier has retained a high profile since leaving the administration, on occasion offering critiques of the president.
The Scaramuccis have reconciled since Deidre Scaramucci filed for divorce around the same time her husband was working at the White House. The couple, who married in 2014, have two children. Anthony Scaramucci reportedly missed the birth of their second child because he was with Trump at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree in West Virginia. The pair now host a podcast via Radio.com.
