When fleshing out bad ideas it always seems that they start on the state or local level and move on up the chain. Wisconsin is proving this point by getting one step closer to expanding bar hours for the DNC convention to be held there in July.

There’s a bipartisan push to allow for expanded bar hours during the July 13-16 convention.
Similar measures have been approved in other states that hosted conventions to capitalize on the crowds drawn for the events.
Organizers estimate 50,000 people will be in and around Milwaukee for the DNC.
The bill would allow bars all across the state, not just those in Milwaukee, to stay open until 4 a.m.
Currently, bars must close at 2 a.m.
