Beto O’Rourke Crushes Democrat Hearts and Denies His 2020 Rumors – By Brandon Morse (redstate.com) / Nov 5 2018
If you’re a fan of Robert “Beto” O’Rourke then I have some bad news.
For one, O’Rourke is likely to lose his Texas Senate race to Republican Ted Cruz. Despite all the Hollywood hype and boosts from out-of-state Democrats as far as funds go, O’Rourke just can’t seem to overcome the momentum generated by Republicans after some decisive victories leading up the midterms including the successful appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
That much we all knew, but O’Rourke’s fans have another disappointment to bear.
He’s not running against President Donald Trump in 2020, despite the rumors.
These rumors appeared after O’Rourke denied sharing any of the $70 million-plus he raised with his fellow Democrats who may need it in other states. His reasoning was solid enough in that the money was given to him for this purpose, but others began to speculate that the reason was that he had his eyes set higher than Cruz’s seat.
But mixed with the leftist media’s glowing profiles and Obama-like treatment, many began to see a glimmer of hope for Democrats in 2020.
However, in a recent interview with MSNBC, O’Rourke crushed these rumors completely.
"I will not be a candidate for president in 2020,” Beto O'Rourke tells @GarrettHaake.
“That’s I think as definitive as those sentences get.” https://t.co/aLDxTCMo4q pic.twitter.com/jPdiTZHOiS

Of course, this is exactly what then Illinois Senator Barack Obama said as well after he had decidedly won his senate race in 2004, citing his issues with inexperience.

And we all saw how that ended.
For the time being, it appears that the rumors of O’Rourke hitting the national campaign trail are nothing but hopeful rumors from a left trying to generate hope for their demoralized party.
