Bill Kristol Rips GOP as a ‘Cult of Personality Worthy of a Banana Republic’ – By Solange Reyner (newsmax.com) / Dec 25 2017
The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol tweeted Saturday the Republican party has turned into a “cult of personality worthy of a banana republic,” responding to a tweet sent out by the official GOP account that featured a smiling President Donald Trump at a podium accompanied by the words, “That feeling when it’s Christmas Eve.”
That feeling when the political party you've belonged to almost your whole adult life turns into a cult of personality worthy of a banana republic. https://t.co/YQnXeGB05D

Kristol, a frequent critic of Trump who vocally opposed him throughout the 2016 primary and general election, in mid-November said the president and former controversial Senate candidate Roy Moore were bringing out his “inner liberal.”
He also criticized the people who have bemoaned the “war on Christmas,” and tweeted out an image Saturday of the painting, “Washington Crossing the Delaware.”

PB/TK – I’m trying to figure out if Bill Crystal is trying to remain a relevant voice of reason within the Conservative realm and not still being stuck outside waiting to be let in the back door after voicing against Candidate/POTUS Donnie by not talking about the Tax Bill’s future increases? Oh and Bill, you do realize that the War on Christmas should be about commercialization of the holiday as well as the picture of Washington crossing the Delaware is completely wrong; it would’ve been a flat boat in the middle of the night.
