Dallas Cowboys paid cheerleaders millions after voyeurism claim against team exec Rich Dalrymple – By Matt Young (Houston Chronicle) / February 16, 2022
The team’s longtime public relations employee retired shortly after ESPN started looking into the allegations and settlement
Four Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders alleged that Rich Dalrymple, the team’s longtime senior vice president for public relations and Jerry Jones’ right-hand man, was in their dressing room as they changed clothes and may have recorded them getting undressed. The alleged incident happened during a 2015 event at the Cowboys AT&T Stadium and the team settled with the cheerleaders for $2.4 million eight months later. The allegations and settlement came to light Wednesday when ESPN broke the story.
The cheerleaders haven’t spoken about the incident because they signed non-disclosure agreements when they settled nearly six years ago.
The four cheerleaders were working during the Cowboys’ 2015 kickoff luncheon at the stadium. When the four women went to their dressing room to change clothes, they heard a door open in a nook area of the dressing room that wasn’t visible by the women. They let the person know the dressing room was occupied and thought the person left. Citing sources familiar with the incident, ESPN reports that several minutes later, “one of the cheerleaders noticed a man’s hand and a black cellphone pointed in their direction.” The woman ran at the man, who she recognized, and ran him off. She later identified that man as Dalrymple.
