The fourth debate will take place in Ohio on one night and feature 12 candidates.
The Democratic National Committee announced Wednesday the 12 candidates that will take the stage later this month in the fourth Democattic debate.
Each candidate was invited after meeting previously agreed upon qualifications established by the DNC, CNN and The New York Times.
The candidates that met the threshold include former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, former Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, businessman Tom Steyer, Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and entrepreneur Andrew Yang.
The DNC told campaigns last week that the debate would take place on one night only, expanding the field from 10 candidates on stage to 12. In order to qualify for the debate, candidates had to receive at least 2% in four DNC-approved polls and at least 130,000 unique donors, including 400 per state from at least 20 states by Oct. 1.
The first two debates saw 20 qualifying candidates split into groups of 10 over two nights. The third debate saw 10 candidates take the stage on a single night.
The debate, moderated by CNN and The New York Times, will take place at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. It will air at 8 p.m. Eastern Time with moderators Erin Burnett and Anderson Cooper from CNN as well as Marc Lacey, national editor for The New York Times.
