Donna Brazile Suggests DNC Rigged Nomination for Clinton – By John Johnson (newser.com) / Nov 2 2017
(Newser) – Donna Brazile is out with a withering account alleging that the Democratic National Committee worked in cahoots with the Hillary Clinton campaign to make sure Clinton ended up as the nominee. The account, headlined “Inside Hillary Clinton’s Secret Takeover of the DNC,” is excerpted from an upcoming book by Brazile at Politico. Brazile took over as interim chief of the DNC when Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned during the campaign, and Brazile writes that she was stunned to discover that the DNC was essentially broke and had signed a joint fundraising agreement with the Clinton team. Essentially, the Clinton campaign was controlling the coffers of the DNC long before the nomination was settled. Brazile recounts a painful phone call she had with Bernie Sanders explaining what she’d discovered with just weeks to go in the race.
“Hello, senator. I’ve completed my review of the DNC and I did find the cancer,” she recalls telling him. “But I will not kill the patient.” The latter referred to her predicament: Going public about the deal could cost the Democrats the election, which turned out to be a moot point. She says Sanders reacted “stoically” to the news. The deal between the DNC and the Clinton campaign “was not illegal, but it sure looked unethical,” writes Brazile. “If the fight had been fair, one campaign would not have control of the party before the voters had decided which one they wanted to lead. This was not a criminal act, but as I saw it, it compromised the party’s integrity.” Click for Brazile’s full account, in which she lays most of the blame on Wasserman Schultz as a bad manager who willingly acceded control of the party to Clinton’s campaign headquarters in Brooklyn.

PB/TK – Not shocking the Debbie Wasserman Shultz was a horrible DNC Chair and should never had been given the seat, but didn’t Brazile recently admit to sharing primary debate questions with Hillary well before taking over the DNC chair? Cahoots were much deeper then sharing an account together
