Experts: ISIS Retreating into Syrian Desert, Still Not Entirely Defeated – OAN Newsroom (oann.com) / Oct 29 2017
Islamic State militants flee to the desert with only 10 percent of Syria remaining under ISIS control.
Experts say the terrorist group has been receding into the Syrian desert as their controlled land shrinks in the region.
This comes following victories by the U.S. backed forces in the cities of Raqqa and Deir al-Zor.
However, experts claim the militant group is likely to stage a counter offensive from the desert.
They say it could take hundreds of thousands of troops to purge ISIS from the desolate countryside.
