While Sacramento police have not publicly named the two officers involved in the shooting death of Stephon Clark on March 18, Black Lives Matter protesters confronted one of the alleged shooters on his wedding day, according to CBS Sacramento.

Stephon Clark was in his grandmother’s backyard when police opened fire on the 22-year-old after mistaking his white iPhone for a gun. A videotape showed the two officers firing 20 bullets at the young man.

The Black Lives Matter activists filmed themselves Tuesday entering a room where the officer and his groomsmen were eating.

One of the protesters asked the groom, who was suspected of being involved in the shooting: “I was just wondering if you started planning your wedding before you killed Stephon Clark or after, and how you’ve been sleeping since March 18. And I know this is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, but he will not have that opportunity ever. So we came here to drink wine and also just ask how you’ve been sleeping.”

Sacramento BLM founder Tanya Faison told CBS: “We’re not violent. We’re not going to give to them what they brought to our community. We’re not going to hurt anyone, but we are going to make them uncomfortable, and they should, because someone is dead.”

When asked whether the group had possibly gone too far, Faison said, “No, because he’s gonna remember this day for the rest of his life.”

Despite not being publicly identified, the two officers involved in Clark’s death have since received death threats and need additional security, police said. They are not currently on patrol duty.

“People may think that these officers are just going about their lives, but this is a very traumatic event for everyone,” said Sacramento Police Sgt. Vance Chandler.

The shooting is currently under investigation.
