Jason Derulo Wants To Deduct $73,000 On His Taxes For Twerk-Related Expenses – Kelly Phillips Erb , Forbes Staff

Entertainer Jason Derulo had a big night in Los Angeles earlier this week. Derulo was in town to promote his new single, “Swalla,” and did so in a big way, dropping tens of thousands of dollars at a Hollywood night club.
At the end of the evening, Derulo’s receipt showed a whopping $53,439.75 in damage. TMZ has a snap of the receipt which shows the singer paid for five bottles of Ace Rose Champagne at $1,400 each, five magnums of 1942 Don Julio tequila at $2,200 each, and three magnums of Dom Perignon Luminous at $7,000 each. Add-ons include a service charge of $10,140 and tax in the amount of $4,299.75. That works out to $53,439.75 alone.
TMZ also alleges that Derulo made it rain for the strippers at the club, spending an additional $20,000.
It’s a lot of money to spend in one night but Derulo’s not worried. He told TMZ that his accountant would receive a copy of the receipt because the party qualified as a write-off. After all, he was promoting his single which totally makes it a business expense, right?
Maybe.
