Jerome Corsi CNN Interview Awkwardly Shut down By Anderson Cooper After Lawyer Brings Up Obama’s ‘Fraudulent’ Birth Certificate – By Brendan Cole (Newsweek) / March 5 2019

The conspiracy theory over the birthplace of the former president Barack Obama has reared its head again during a heated discussion on CNN.

Host Anderson Cooper was talking to the author Jerome Corsi, whom he described as an “advocate of many conspiracy theories,” including the one casting doubt on whether Obama was actually born in the United States, a constitutional requirement to serve as president.

Corsi dismissed the CNN host’s claim that he promoted conspiracy theories about what happened during the 9/11 attacks, before his lawyer Larry Klayman interjected to question the veracity of the former president’s birth certificate.

Klayman said: “Anderson, let me say one thing here about the birth certificate. The birth certificate, there’s been forensic analysis on that.

“He never said that Obama was born in another country. But the birth certificate appears to be fraudulent,” Mediaite reported.

Cooper interrupted by saying: “You’re saying forensic analyst by people linked with Joe Arpaio,” referring to the Maricopa County Sheriff who claimed that an investigation had revealed Obama’s 1961 birth certificate was a fake.

“Is that the forensic analysis you’re talking about?” Cooper added.

Klayman continued: “There’s other forensic analyses, the birth certificate uses the word ‘African-American’ in 1961. That term was not used until Jesse Jackson…”

“So you don’t believe that President Obama was born in the United States?” Cooper said.

“That’s not what I said. I said the birth certificate, there’s forensic analysis that it’s fraudulent. Don’t beat up on my client because of that. It’s inappropriate. Do some research.”

Corsi came back into the conversation, saying that he wanted to see “the original birth records from Kenya.”

The temperature rose after Cooper questioned why people should believe Corsi, especially after he had retracted an InfoWars story that the murdered Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich had leaked DNC emails to WikiLeaks.

Klayman snapped: “Wait a second. There’s nothing wrong with his record on the Obama birth certificate, Anderson. Don’t twist things.” Cooper then brought the heated debate to an awkward close.

Corsi’s retraction on the front page of InfoWars on Monday stated that his allegations “were not based upon any independent factual knowledge.”

“It was not Dr. Corsi’s intent to rely upon inaccurate information, or to cause any suffering to Mr. Rich’s family.

The retraction followed a request by the legal team for Aaron Rich, the brother of Seth Rich, CNN reported.
