A man who allegedly shot out the window of a police car while wearing a T-shirt that said “Team Jesus” is in custody, a spokesman said.
Paul Jason Mikell, 41, of Stockbridge, was arrested April 11, Henry County police Capt. Joey Smith said.
Mikell shot out the window March 24 just before midnight at a package store on Highway 138 in Stockbridge, police said.
After police issued a public lookout, Smith said several tipsters contacted officers and named Mikell as a possible suspect. After detectives got a warrant, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in locating Mikell at a home on Fountain Circle, Smith said.
Mikell is charged with interference with government property, police said. He has bonded out of the Henry County jail.
