Big box retailer Menards says it will respond to allegations of price gouging during the coronavirus crisis that prompted a warning letter from Attorney General Dana Nessel.
“We are disappointed and are taking this very seriously,” Menards spokesman Jeff Abbott said in a Wednesday email to the Free Press.
“We are working hard on responding in due course to the attorney general.”
On Tuesday, Nessel sent Menards a “cease and desist” letter after her office received 18 complaints from consumers about overpriced bleach, face masks and other items.
