MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — Meridian Police says a man is dead after firing rounds at a KOA RV campground near Pennwood Street and Meridian Road early Monday.
Officers were called to the area for a report of shots shortly after 3:30 a.m. Monday. Officers from the Boise Police Department, Meridian Police Department and Ada County Sheriff’s Office responded.
According to the Meridian Police Department, the shooter – a man in his 60’s – was firing rounds “indiscriminately from a trailer” when they arrived. In order to put a stop to his actions and safely evacuate people in the area, an officer fired a shot that killed the man.
