Crystal Bassette was 16 years old when she got pregnant with her first son, Justin.
In order to give him what she believed to be the best life, Bassette picked up her life in North Carolina, and moved to Hollywood, California. According to Barcroft TV, the young mom paid her rent by modeling and dancing.
A few years after moving to Hollywood, Bassette was introduced to an adult filmmaker. The money convinced her to give it a shot and sign up for her first film.
She told Barcroft TV that she left the shoot in tears: “I remember after the scene, I sat in the shower for about two hours crying. Then I stopped after that shoot.”
But Bassette went back one month later to continue making films. As Barcroft TV reported, she numbed her regret with pain medicine and alcohol, but life as a porn star quick became routine.
She would walk up, take her son to school, go to work, then went back to being a mom. For the next 10 years, Nadia Hilton—Bassette’s porn alias—earned over $300,000 a year by making 100-plus films during her career.
The mom told Barcroft TV, her parents were disappointed, yet supportive: “They were both pretty disappointed in me though. I mean my father, he was very disappointed in me, got mad at first but they eventually got over it.”
