Packers release statement on WR arrested for alleged bomb joke at airport – By Steve DelVecchio (yardbarker.com) / April 9 2018
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport over the weekend after he reportedly learned that explosives are nothing to joke about when you’re about to board a flight.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Davis and a female friend were checking in at the Hawaiian Airlines counter at LAX when an attendant asked standard security questions about their luggage. Davis apparently thought that would be a good time to jokingly ask the woman he was with, “Did you remember to pack the explosives?” The woman reportedly said “no” and tried to get Davis to stop, at which point he said he was “just kidding.”
Police weren’t about to take his word for it, and Davis was arrested and charged with making criminal threats. The Packers confirmed the arrest on Monday and said they will not be providing further comment on an ongoing legal matter.
Statement from the Packers: “The Packers are aware of the matter involving Trevor Davis. We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment as it is an ongoing legal matter.” https://t.co/f75C7CmnuA

Believe it or not, Davis is not the first NFL player arrested for making a bomb reference at an airport. The 24-year-old probably won’t make the mistake of joking about something like that again while traveling by air.
