Pres. Trump Attributes Opioid Crisis To Sanctuary Cities In Weekly Address – By OAN Newsroom (oann.com) / March 31 2018
President Trump said the opioid crisis is due in part to sanctuary cities, and said the key in combating the epidemic is letting federal agents do their job.
“If our brave federal agents are going to be successful in stopping this deadly epidemic, then we must stop lawless sanctuary cities.” – President Trump
In his weekly address, the President said sanctuary cities release thousands of criminal illegal immigrants into communities including drug dealers and violent gang members.
He called on Congress to cut funding to sanctuary cities and states, and vowed to bring an end to drug addiction.
“It is time for congress to cut off funds for Sanctuary Cities and to close the loopholes that allow drugs and criminals to violate our borders. We’re going to stop the flow of deadly drugs. We’re going to get help to those who need it. And we are going to end the scourge of addiction in America.” -President Trump
The president went on to say the six largest heroin markets are in sanctuary cities, saying criminal illegal immigrants have turned cities into drug distribution centers.
As the Trump administration seeks to bring an end to sanctuary cities, RNC spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany speaks out on electing more lawmakers who will back the President’s America first agenda.
During an interview Saturday, McEnany cited the fact Democrat Senators were needed to pass the spending bill as evidence the GOP needs to increase their majority in Congress.
She went on to suggest the circumstances regarding the spending package will energize GOP voters in the upcoming midterms.
McEnany then noted de-funding sanctuary cities, among other goals of the president, will be more achievable with more GOP lawmakers.

PB/TK – He does realize there’s more to the Opioid Crisis then just illegal drugs, right? It’s in your medicine cabinet, Percocet and/or OxyContin prescribed by your doctor that you are addicted too or your child is addicted too. We are an over-prescribed nation, ya gotta a pain/ache/itch, get a script written and call back for the refill.
