President Trump hints at welfare reform as his next major initiative after the tax overhaul clears Congress.
During a cabinet meeting earlier this week, the president said his administration will unveil several proposals on the welfare reform soon.
Analysts speculate a reform would boost efficiency of the social benefits system, and help bring down the ballooning federal budget spending.
Previously, President Trump noted many people take advantage of the welfare system.
“We’ll be submitting plans on health care, plans on infrastructure, and plans on welfare reform — which is desperately needed in our country — soon after taxes,” announced the president.
The Trump administration has proposed adding work requirements to social benefits programs in an effort to crackdown on abusers of the welfare system.

PB/TK – Welfare reform is needed. But if you really want to get the “abusers” you gotta start by closing loopholes and fraudulent lawyers/doctors that help push people into the system. Start there and millions can be saved
