President Trump expressed his desire to raise a drug free generation as he outlined his plan to combat the country’s opioid crisis.
Speaking in New Hampshire Monday, the president laid out his three part plan, which includes far steeper penalties to those who pedal illicit drugs.
The first part of his strategy is to reduce drug demand by preventing addiction.
That includes implementing the death penalty for major drug pushers who could be responsible for thousands of deaths.
The second pillar is to reduce the supply of illicit drugs — in part — by cracking down on sanctuary cities and building a southern border wall.
Finally, the president wants to provide help to those who need it, including giving life saving medicines to first responders and implementing proven treatment.

PB/TK – Scapegoating sanctuary cities and building a “Southern Wall” to help stop the current opioid crisis is simple grandstanding. Over the past few years, Gov has been temporarily reassigning Border Agents away from their duties in Ports and Shorelines to the Southern Border because they cannot hire the proper personnel (not too mention many that are retiring or leaving the dept). So while all efforts go South the rest of the borders lack. But trying to pinpoint a “wall” will help stop the current crisis, well you’re better off just saying “no to drugs.” This crisis didn’t pop-up overnight, it’s always been there, just no one from Media to DC didn’t care till it hit the wealthier suburbs
