Rudy Giuliani’s divorce gets nasty, wife accuses him of affair with married woman – By Christian Datoc (washingtonexaminer.com) / June 12 2018
Rudy Giuliani’s estranged wife, Judith Nathan, says the president’s personal lawyer was engaged in an affair with a married woman before they filed for divorce back in April.
The New York Post’s Page Six reported Tuesday on Giuliani’s alleged dalliances with New Hampshire hospital administrator Maria Rosa Ryan, who herself is married to a U.S. Marine.
Giuliani did not deny a non-romantic friendship with Ryan, but said in a statement their relationship began when he was “in effect separated” from Nathan, his third wife.
“I do know Dr. Ryan. She is a friend of mine, so is her husband, Bob. She’s a Ph.D. and a very, very fine woman,” he explained. “I never spent the night with her. There’s no proof. There can’t be because we never did anything.”
Nathan, however, denied his claim in a statement to Page Six.
“My husband’s denial of the affair with the married Mrs. Ryan is as false as his claim that we were separated when he took up with her,” she wrote.
Giuliani and Nathan filed for divorce on April 4, just a week after Giuliani and Ryan were spotted in public together for the first time.
“It is with great sadness I can confirm that Judith and I are divorcing,” Giuliani said at the time. “We hope to do this as amicably as possible, and hope that people will respect the privacy of our children at this time.”
