Search warrant raid at South Side home results in possible human trafficking discovery – By Bethany Bruner (The Columbus Dispatch) / February 10, 2022
What Whitehall and Columbus police believed they would find when they executed a search warrant for drugs on Wednesday morning at a home on the South Side turned out to be very different from what they discovered.
Investigators were serving the search warrant at a home on the 300 block of East Innis Avenue, located between Washington Avenue and 8th Street, after investigating allegations of drug trafficking operations there.
But when they executed the search warrant at the home, Whitehall police said they found 15 people inside: 13 women and two men. The law enforcement agencies believe they stumbled upon a human trafficking operation.
