An anti-LGBTQ slur scrawled on the walls of a bathroom at a Sacramento high school and shared on social media is under investigation by the Elk Grove Unified School District.
District officials told The Sacramento Bee that the graffiti was “immediately removed” Thursday by custodial staff at Sheldon High School and was reported to school administrators.
Officials learned Friday that a photo of the slur — which was threatening and discriminatory — was also shared among some students “electronically,” said district spokeswoman Xanthi Soriano.
