President Donald Trump claimed the United States has been speaking “directly” to North Korea leader Kim Jong-un, during a gaggle with reporters at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday.
Multiple journalists are reporting the on president’s comments, with some initial confusion as to what exactly the president claimed.

Trump, with Abe, said:
-meeting with KJU "probably in early June" or "a little before that" or not at all
-5 locations eyed
-he's credited for progress between North & South
-North & South "have my blessing" to discuss ending "Korean war"
-"many" leaders request Mar-a-Lago trip. https://t.co/UTRD2Rivcz— Jennifer Jacobs (@JenniferJJacobs) April 17, 2018
And now the WH is telling the pool that Pres Trump misunderstood or misheard the question
