Trump: Didn’t Discuss Comments About S*** hole African Countries with Nigerian President – By Melanie Arter (cnsnews.com) / May 1 2018
(CNSNews.com) – During a joint White House press conference with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, President Donald Trump said Monday that Buhari did not address comments Trump reportedly made about African countries, because Buhari knows him and where he’s coming from.
A reporter asked whether Buhari addressed the comments Trump reportedly made earlier this year using vulgar language to describe African nations.

“I’m very careful with what the press says about other than myself. I’m not sure about the validity or whether that allegation against the president is true or not, so the best thing for me is to keep quiet,” Buhari said.
Buhari is the first African leader to visit the White House during the Trump administration.
“We didn’t discuss it, and you do have some countries that are in very bad shape and very tough places to live in, but we didn’t discuss it because the president knows me and he knows where I’m coming from, and I appreciate that. We did not discuss it,” Trump said.
As CNSNews.com previously reported, Trump has denied referring to African countries as “s****hole countries.
The White House also said at the time that Trump didn’t use the term “s***hole,” but that “tough language” was used.
“Look, no one here is going to pretend that the president is always politically correct. He isn’t. I think that’s one of the reasons the American people love him. One of the reasons that he won and is sitting in the Oval Office today is because he isn’t a scripted robot. He’s somebody who tells things like they are sometimes, and sometimes he does use tough language,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at the time.
