The FOX News broadcaster used the derisive nickname to refer to the Texas congressman during a segment with former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.
Tucker Carlson coined a new, mocking nickname for Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) on Monday night, referring to the former Navy SEAL operator who lost his right eye while serving in Afghanistan as “eyepatch McCain.”
A clip of the remark began circulating on Twitter Monday night. Carlson made the comment while speaking with former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard about Crenshaw’s support of U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
“The more I think about it, it takes a lot of gall for eyepatch McCain to attack moms who are worried about baby formula as pro-Russia,” Carlson said.
