At first glance it sure looks like a prayer session during the National Anthem, which shouldn’t offend anyone, and would’ve gone unnoticed by so many.
There are many players that stand during the National Anthem without hand-over-heart are they any different then those that take a knee?
And if players take a knee and form the visual prayer circle we’ve seen time and time again after a game or when someone it injured, is it still considered a protest – PB/TK

Kneeling and bowing their heads, the Cleveland Browns bonded over something bigger than football.
More than a dozen players, including the first two white NFL players to join the movement since it was launched by quarterback Colin Kaepernick a year ago, huddled together on the team’s bench Monday night to protest during the national anthem.
The group, which included veterans, rookies, starters and backups, gathered in front of some water coolers and behind their teammates who stood on the sideline shortly before the Browns hosted the New York Giants in a preseason game.
