U.N. Condemns U.S. Jerusalem Declaration, Pres. Trump Warns of Funding Cuts to Nation’s Voting Against U.S – By OAN newsroom (oann.com) / Dec 21 2017
The United Nations votes against President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
In a 128-to-nine vote Thursday, the U.N. condemned the president’s declaration and called on the U.S. to withdraw its Jerusalem declaration and halt its embassy move.
Ahead of the vote, President Trump warned he will cut U.S. funding to U.N. countries who oppose his decision.
Several Muslim nations called for Thursday’s vote in New York after the U.S. vetoed the resolution during a Security Council vote this week.
President Trump said the U.S. cannot give these countries hundreds of millions of dollars and watch them vote against us.
U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley said Washington is “taking names” and is paying close attention to those who vote against the U.S.
