Two whistleblowers say that Pres. Joe Biden’s Justice Department denied requests by U.S. Attorney David Weiss to prosecute Biden’s son, Hunter, on felony tax-related charges, in testimony released Thursday.
On Friday, U.S. Attorney General denied the whistleblowers’ testimony.
Then, instead of clearing things up, Weiss’ office refused to comment on the two conflicting claims.
Weiss requested to be appointed special counsel, which would have given him more prosecutorial leeway regarding Hunter Biden’s tax issues and was denied at least twice, resulting in Hunter Biden being able to plea to just two probation- only misdemeanors, a The New York Post report on the whistleblowers’ testimony explains:
