Unvaccinated to be ‘accompanied at all times’ in Canadian Walmarts, Costcos to ensure they’re buying pharmacy products only – By Claudia Dimuro (PennLive) / January 26, 2022
Unvaccinated Canadian residents in the province of Quebec must now be “accompanied at all times” by employees of stores such as Walmart and Costco each time they go shopping.
This is to ensure they’re only buying products at these locations’ pharmacies. Everyone ages 13 and up must also show proof of vaccination to enter.
CBC News reports how a mandate which requires all large retailers to request a person’s vaccine passport to enter the vicinity went into effect on Monday. This mandate includes “all businesses with surface areas of 1,500 square meters [over 16,000 square feet] or more—with the exception of groceries and pharmacies.”
