The White House is unveiling a series of school and gun safety proposals, including a push for stricter background checks and training for school staff members.

The proposal was released Sunday and calls on Congress to pass legislation strengthening background checks in order to keep guns away from dangerous individuals.

It also calls on states to adopt risk protection orders, allowing officials to temporarily take guns from those deemed a threat to themselves or others.

The White House also urges states to provide firearm training to qualified personnel in schools and support the transition of law enforcement and ex-military personnel into educational careers.

PB/TK – Wait that’s it; stricter background checks, removal of guns for those deemed a threat are very liberal in thought. Where’s the social media backlash? Where are the protests? Oh I forgot, it’s a GOP’er proposal had it been a DEM’er proposal there’ would be an avalanche of memes showing armed personnel protecting that DEM’er.

Oh yeah, before you give me grief, I agree with the proposed limited action plan but let’s see how you enforce it
