Wounded Combat Vets Share Photo as Congressmen – By Jason Devaney (newsmax.com) / Jan 3 2019
Three wounded warriors who are current members of Congress shared a group photo Thursday to commemorate their service to the country.
Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., who was elected to the House in 2016, posted an image on Twitter with two freshman members of the House — Reps. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, and Jim Baird, R-Ind.
“5 eyes. 5 arms. 4 legs. All American. Welcome to Congress, @ElectJimBaird & @DanCrenshawTX,” the caption reads.

Crenshaw is a former Navy SEAL and wears an eye patch because he lost his right eye in an IED explosion in Afghanistan. Mast was a bomb technician in the Army and lost both of his legs and one of his fingers in the same type of incident.
Baird lost his left arm during the Vietnam War.
New members of Congress were sworn in Thursday following November’s midterm elections. Republicans retained control of the Senate, but Democrats took over House leadership and will be led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
