The Alamogordo Public School District has embraced the use of programs that can help children learn. One of these programs is zSpace. The 3D computer platform allows students to get a closer look at a wide range of objects such as wild animals, a frog and its anatomical systems, and even the human heart.

“It is my goal to implement classroom instruction that is rich, emotional and personal, fostering students to find meaning, to make sense of the world around them, and to transfer knowledge to solve problems and think creatively,” APS Deputy Superintendent Cara Malone said. “zSpace is one way that we are working to increase student investment in learning at Alamogordo Public Schools.”

More zSpace laptops are on their way for the 2020-2021 school year. The laptops cost between $1,500 to $1,800.
