President Joe Biden’s anti-energy policies, not greedy oil companies and gas stations, are to blame for record-high gas prices, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) said Thursday in a House floor debate of a new Democrat price-gouging bill.
Scalise explained how Pres. Biden’s continued assault on American energy has caused the price of gasoline to soar to record levels, criticizing Democrats’ effort to shirk blame for skyrocketing gas prices:
“And here we are, it’s another week and another bill to try to divert attention away from what Joe Biden, himself, did to raise gas prices to the point where families can’t even afford to drive to work. Can’t even afford to go to the grocery to pay 15, 20 percent more for goods, because of Biden’s inflation.”
